Sensplant

The task - to develop a plant application for the user Sara, as she is constantly on the road due to her job and does not always know what the condition of the plants are.

Problem

Sara would like to set up plants in the app. Sara also has an affinity for technology and builds her own Sensors, she would like to implement those. Another point would be the irrigation, here she should be able to determine whether automatic irrigation should take place or manually by pressing a button.

Prototype - Solution approach

Through research and mood boards, we have tried to keep the application practical & simple. As soon as Sara presses the plus in the upper right image, she enters the setup. Here she has to assign a name, either search for the plant in the database or scan it with the camera, then add a sensor or if one already exists select it. In the second step, you can determine the irrigation. Once Manual is selected, you can enter a quantity. In Automatic mode, she has the choice to set blocking times for the irrigation, in case she has meetings and does not want to transmit noise via Zoom. Furthermore, there is a dashboard for a general overview of the plants. In the submenu you can change the watering method again, or just water if you are in manual mode. Another settings level is accessible from the top right. When you are on a plant level. Here you can add more sensors in case some break, set blocking times or change the name of the plant.
